Humanity will not solve its various boundary disputes and their respective perpetual expansionist tendencies – conflicts that often take place even on a personal level, but especially in political surroundings. Fabien Prioville confronts this topic in his new play, taking into perspective individual, collective and geographical boundaries – with the territorial space surrounding everybody as a site of cultural experience. The collective “we“ (“NOUS“) of the title does not last long; all three performers, among them Fabien Prioville himself, test the limits of their fellow dancers. When does trespassing turn into a threat? In conjunction with the atmospheric sound compositions of Frank Schulte and media artist Naoko Tanaka’s video images, drawn live at the computer, they tell a tale of sad beauty, about division and change: “... the trio succeeds in creating images of remarkable intensity.“ (NRZ)
