Sound design is usually  the process of specifying, acquiring, manipulating or generating audio elements. It is employed in a variety of disciplines including filmmaking, television production, theatre, sound recording and reproduction, live performance, sound art, post-production and video game software development. Sound design most commonly involves the manipulation of previously composed or recorded audio, such as music and sound effects. In some instances it may also involve the composition or manipulation of audio to create a desired effect or mood.

My work in the field of conceptual sound design involves the selection and composition of music and sounds for a production based on intimate familiarity with the content and contextual idea behind the production. As a conceptual sound designer I am used to work together with the production's director in close interaction to decide the themes and messages to be explored, to create the desired sonic moods.

Besides this I focus with my sound design work on the artistic design of public spaces. This is a from my point of view underestimated, but very important field of our daily life and social environment. In the last years I could collect  many experiences with projects in this field and developed techniques that leaded  to astonishing results in the perception and change of acoustic quality of public locations and architectures.
